One of my first nights in Hanoi. The amazing northern city in Vietnam. The weather was not so good for strolling around but even better for photo’s. Here we were looking for a quick snack after a long walk. Banh Mi sandwiches are amazing, tasty and fast. The ultimate Vietnamese streetfood was found here in Hanoi.

Wandering around Hanoi Old Quarters
Experienced by Son Vu Le
This shot was taken in Hanoi Old Quarter. While on our way for lunch in a taxi, my wife and I jumped out of the taxi as we were amazed by this train track running in the middle of buildings. At first we thought it was an old train track but after some research I found out that a train is actually running twice a day. Locals know the time and live their daily routine around it.

This is Ngoc Son temple on Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi, Vietnam. I shot this to show that even as a tourist attraction, it can still convey a sense of abandonment.

Before leaving for Vietnam, we had no idea about the beautiful Nihn Bihn landscape. It wasn’t until meeting complete strangers in Hanoi, that we were convinced to check it out. We hopped on a bus, made the 4-hour trek, and booked a hostel. After getting into town, we rented a scooter and explored the city. Journeying down random side roads, into little villages, and eventually stumbling on this huge rock formation. This experience could not have been more fulfilling. Thank you to all those amazing travelers out there; who share insight, adventure, and beautiful moments.

Rice fields as far as the eye can see. If you ever get to do a bike trip through northern Vietnam, do it.
